Everybody on the Farm Has a Name (Except the Dixie Chicks)

Rolla
Rolla was my very first ewe and the girl who truly started it all. She's the flock matriarch and the reason the farmstead exists in its current form — over three years she's given us seven babies, including a surprise set of triplets. She knows her name like the back of her hoof, and answers every late-night call for head scratches, hugs, and sweet feed.
Evie
One of Rolla's triplets, Evie came into the world on New Year's Eve and was raised as a bottle baby from day one. She has more personality than a lamb her size has any right to, and has never once been shy about demanding attention.
Addy
Addy came to us as a rescued bottle calf after some tragic circumstances, and has grown into one of the best mothers on the property. She has exceptional mothering instincts — and an even more exceptional love of bananas as a treat.
Shadow
It took a full year to earn Shadow's trust, but she's now one of the most trusting cows we have — proof that patience on a farm always pays off. She's already mother to two calves and, if you ask Stephanie, is hands-down the sweetest heifer on the place.
Jonesy
Named by our veterinarian, Jonesy is our breeding stock and maintains a strong, steady presence throughout the farmstead — mud and all.
The Girls
Collectively opinionated, individually dramatic, and never once known to make a quiet decision. They supply our eggs — and most of our daily entertainment.
